Florida alumni sports festival

The Jamaica High Schools Alumni Soccer and Netball Tournament provides a top-class, two-day sporting event that attracts a wide cross-section of Jamaican nationals, other Caribbean-Americans and soccer and netball lovers nationwide. The event, which is held on Labor Day weekend each year, has proven to be a highly competitive and heavily supported Caribbean sporting event. It holds the regard of being the premiere alumni sporting competition in South Florida. According to the Sun Sentinel newspaper the tournament is a "Reunion of a Country"

2019 Tournament Info

This tournament features Alumni from Jamaica’s top high schools, most of which participated in Jamaica’s inter-secondary schools soccer and netball competitions. With over forty (40) schools participating to date, and overwhelming requests from interested entrants, each staging is growing year to year. Tournament soccer champions are awarded $2,000 Cash Prizes and the National Weekly Cup. The tournament is hosted at the Lauderhill Sports Complex in Lauderhill, Florida. The complex features two full-sized soccer playing fields and a netball court with enough space to host over 7,000 patrons. The Jamaica High School Alumni Soccer and Netball Tournament creates a platform for alumni to relive their competitive experiences, while presenting opportunities for companies and organizations to promote their goods and services in the lucrative Caribbean-American market.

Something about us

Jamaica High School Alumni Sporting Network (JHSASN) is a Non Profit organization founded in 2009 by a group of sport enthusiasts and marketing visionary’s. The aim of JHSASN is to reunite past students who attended high school in Jamaica and create a platform to relive their competitive experience. Teams are comprised of alumni from some of Jamaica's most competitive and acclaimed schools, known for their prowess on the netball court and football field.

What we do

Alumni have a chance to relive their glory days while vying for the coveted National Weekly Cup and cash prizes for the sports teams and programs at their alma mata. Participants experience music and entertainment, cultural foods, unique art and craft and innovative products and services. Proceeds from the event are donated to local and international youth-focused programs. Admission to the tournament is free and the event is for the whole family, with an exciting children's area .
